Dan Chapman

Dubbing Mixer

Dan joined Evolutions in 2017 as one of the UK’s best known and most requested dubbing mixers. After spending his teens at boarding school playing guitar and obsessively writing and recording songs on whatever device he could find, he headed to Soho in 1988 and landed his first job with Magmasters Sound Studios, where he began studying the art of sound engineering in TV and Film. He would assist on everything, from mixing commercials to recording ADR with actors and directors for many well-known feature films. Ten years later, he joined The Farm as a TV Dubbing Mixer. Here he was given the chance to work on all genres of television, but in 2004 the launch of The X Factor would take up most of his time for many years!

Following this, he was lucky enough to work on many other prime time shows, including In A League of their Own and ITVs Benidorm

In 2017, he joined ‘Evolutions’ where he is continuing to enjoy mixing a variety of different shows, such as SAS: Who Dares Wins and the wonderful Taskmaster, both for Channel 4.

When he finds spare time, he still enjoys playing the guitar – whether it’s having fun duetting with his kids or simply learning a new song that’s been rattling around in his head.
