Blair Wallace

Head of Grading bristol

Blair joined Evolutions Bristol as Head of Grading in 2013 when he made the move to the West Country from London. He said goodbye to his role as Senior Colourist for Envy Post Production and headed off to sunny Bristol and the Evolutions team.

So marked the end of an era for Blair as he had enjoyed a long and successful career in many of Soho’s finest Post Houses. His post-career started in 1998 as a runner, where he quickly progressed to the Telecine department. Here he assisted a Senior Colourist, gaining valuable experience in film, and securing his first taste of digital Colour Grading. Blair has been a very popular Colourist and has built up a long list of credits across all genres.

Since relocating to Bristol, Blair has won three grading RTS awards for his work on Jago A Life Under Water (Underdog Films) and Frankenstein And The Vampire A Dark And Stormy Night (Oxford Film And Television) and has since been nominated for six more.

Blair is currently working on Natural History Films, as well as short-form projects including commercials for Dyson. He has a serious passion for developing the filmmaker's style ambitions and a keen eye on new technology, including software developments and display formats such as High Dynamic Range. Blair has an eye for detail that is unsurpassed which, combined with his affable charm, contributes to his solid reputation as a highly sought-after talent in his field.
