Tuesday’s Child for Channel 4
LEGO Masters is an authentic competition inspired by genuine LEGO fan contests and the challenges undertaken by LEGO designers and builders. Eight pairs of contestants compete across five episodes –they are mixed teams of children, adult-child combos and adult pairs. Unique to this format is the range of ages – with 9 year olds competing against 40-somethings – though there is no age limit!
The competing pairs have their design, originality and construction skills put to the test in a battle to be crowned Britain’s most talented amateur LEGO builders. From designing a towering skyscraper to recreating a moment in history, each challenge showcases creative, imaginative and technical abilities and is judged by the VP of Design at the LEGO Group, a scientist and engineering expert and celebrity AFOLs (Adult Fans of LEGO).
The victorious pair win the accolade of LEGO MASTERS and a specially commissioned bespoke LEGO trophy.
Melvin Odoom acts as the host who sets the challenges and acts as conduit between the teams and the judges and provides the commentary.
